Wasn’t it the Daily Mail that advertised itself as enabling women to interrupt their hairdressers once in a while?
  • Was this a serious article or the DM's attempt at an April Fool's joke?
It was published at 22:57 yesterday so I don't think so - April Fools have to be pre midday don't they?
  • Upper or lower, it makes an ass
Of folk enjoying their own kind of class
Blue roses, I find, vulgar and crass
So, on this topic, I'll gratefully pass!
To us posh people that doesn't even rhyme 🙂
  • Thats me @Dovefromabove! But more classless than classy!

Very guilty of growing the odd Calendula,it makes a good "balm"
Plastic furniture on the lower terrace, and wooden on the top terrace.😊😊

I have a mixture of some of those things. I love daffodils, clematis, honeysuckle and lavender. I've just planted some yellow roses, I love petunias and I'm planning on stepping stones in the lawn. I don't like blue roses - at least I wouldn't if there were such things.

My mother told me I was upper middle class, I was teased as a child for talking posh. I grew up in a big old farmhouse in Surrey. But does it matter? OH's father was a coal miner from Sheffield, until his wife persuaded him to move to London, and we think alike on a heck of a lot of things. We are who we are, most people are nice, some aren't.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I used to think my aunt was posh, she peeled her potatoes in her fur coat.

Posh are eccentric. But if she wasn't posh, she was mad.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Having a fur coat isn't posh .... it's cruel.

So,  bedding is lower class, and perennials and climbers are upper class? What a strange article.
