  • Thanks for advice, to be honest I can't remember the specific plant selection, it was an offer in a saturday newspaper, quite cheap so I won't be devastated if some die, I'd rather they didn't of course, But I will see if other volunteers can take some and pot them up and keep protected for a while, I have no inside space but can put some in a sheltered spot.   Everlasting Perennial Collection | Thompson & Morgan (thompson-morgan.com)  Thanks again.

    They all look like solidly hardy things, and some of them are pretty thuggish but perfect for a situation with plenty of space to fill and maybe not much time for mollycoddling. The main danger to small young hardy plants (especially the lupins) is slugs. They'll be in a much better position to resist attack when they've grown on a bit.
