Will my annual seedlings be ok?

    That's why I was saying it depended on what they were etc, and if sowing direct it really has to be later @CraighB - should have asked what you were sowing-  I assumed  it was just some standard annuals, not a wildflower mix. Fingers crossed some will make it though. :)
    In the wild, many seeds don't make it to the following year to germinate well, although some will germinate in autumn and over winter, and it'll depend on conditions as to how well they thrive. 
    It's why they produce so many seeds - sheer weight of numbers to help them along. Bit like frogspawn  ;)

    Difficult at this time of year for anything like that, but it isn't helped when info on packets suggests you can just chuck them around without any problem. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
