Hello, does anyone know what this plant is?  I thought it was borage or comfrey as the leaves were a bit hairy but having looked them up, the flower colour is wrong.  Sorry they're on their side.  Many thanks.

It is a comfrey not sure which one, what a lovely colour.

Maybe "Hidcote Pink"? https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/92452/symphytum-hidcote-pink/details but without a label it would be impossible to be sure.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Thanks GardenerSuze and nutcutlet.  I shall investigate comfreys, at least you've narrowed my search down for me.  :)

I have grown Symphytum Belsay Gold, lovely in shade the colour is fantastic but like all Symphytum's you need to control it .When it was past it's best I cut it down and added it to the compost heep.

    I lean towards Symphytum grandiflorum

I think you might have it JennyJ.  This one doesn't seem to spread, just a small clump appears each spring which is a bit better than the thuggish ones.
