Flower identification please.

Saw this pretty flower this morning. Does anyone know what it is? And what conditions it likes.

    I think it's Narcissus bulbocodium (sp ?) aka the hooped petticoat

    Does anyone know why this Narcissus won't flower in year two .I have tried twice before but just leaves.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I think they like acid or neutral soil. I failed with those, My soil is about as alkaline as soil gets

    @nutcutlet Thank you I had no idea why this happened.  Saw some lovely cream ones at the GC today but managed to resist.

    Great, thanks all. We have acid soil here, so they would be fine here. I’ll look out for some.

    I've always liked these but they didn't like my alkaline loam in the last garden and now I have neutral to acid soil I haven't seen any on sale.
