Planting Bareroots

I’ve never Planted Bareroots before, I have some salvia, phlox, and chocolate cosmos Bareroots to plant and I wondered: if my plan was to mix in Salvia Schneheugel with some of the pink chocolate cosmos (I have 3 of each), could I plant them quite close together so the salvia will grow up through the cosmos, or am I creating too much competition?

The salvia is shorter so it's more a case of the cosmos growing up through it, I guess I'd want them 45cm apart to give them space to develop.

  • Oh. In my brain that Salvia was taller, but yeah either way you’ve answered my question in regards to giving them space to develop.
