Planting Bareroots

I’ve never Planted Bareroots before, I have some salvia, phlox, and chocolate cosmos Bareroots to plant and I wondered: if my plan was to mix in Salvia Schneheugel with some of the pink chocolate cosmos (I have 3 of each), could I plant them quite close together so the salvia will grow up through the cosmos, or am I creating too much competition?

    The salvia is shorter so it's more a case of the cosmos growing up through it, I guess I'd want them 45cm apart to give them space to develop.

    Oh. In my brain that Salvia was taller, but yeah either way you’ve answered my question in regards to giving them space to develop.
