Any idea what these might be?

Hi!

According to Secret Gardening Club these are Achillea Terracotta.

I have serious doubts......  I would expect feathery fern-like foliage like the ones I already have which are now re-growing from last year.

These are the only plants I received out of the 12 I ordered.

Anyone have any idea what they may be?

    They could be Achillea Ptarmica?

    Quite possibly @Fairygirl

I guess I'll just have to pot them on and see what emerges.

Partial shade just to be on the safe side?

You may be onto something.  I guess they may have mixed up the labels.....

This is from google.....leaves look similar:

Ah - good shout @Borderline. It's quite different from the usual yarrows. I haven't  grown it in a very long time.  :)

I don't grow penstemons @TheGreenMan, so can't help with that - but I think they're sun lovers. A little shade will do no harm anyway, and if it's as Borderline suggests - that would be fine for that too.

    Mystery probably solved.

Beth Chatto site says they are invasive.

Anyone got any experience with them?

It was never invasive for me. My conditions will have been the complete opposite of Beth Chatto's though  ;)

Never grown it before. When you mentioned Achillea, I knew there was one that had similar leaves to that.

On the upside, if they are Achillea Ptarmica, they are white so they can go in my new bed.
