Pinus flexilis Vanderwolf (limber pine)

Morning

My partner was very taken with a limber pine in the garden centre last week so bought it, and now I have to work it into the planting scheme somehow. We have a large garden which we are redeveloping slowly. The we have a spot in mind which is in a border which runs east to west so it will have full sun. My preferred style is perennial heavy cottage garden, so I’m struggling to integrate this a bit with the rest of the design. Has anyone got or seen a dwarf or smaller pine in a cottage garden setting? I would be so grateful for some images. Thank you.

    If you like cottage garden, I think it would look slightly odd, other than as a backdrop, or part of a boundary/shelter belt.  :)
    All pines are quite slow growing, so it would be a while before it had a big impact. You can usually prune them, but it's probably not ideal for what you want to do. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    The only thing l can suggest is using it as a background plant to provide a dark backdrop to the riot of colourful blooms at the front, something like this.
