I wouldn't be worried. As @Pete.8 says, it's the difference in temps that can cause the problem more than anything, and especially if small plants are trapped between curtains/blinds and the glass. Windowsills are great to start off all sorts of seeds, but even a small amount of sun at this time of year can send temps soaring, and then they drop markedly overnight. My kitchen is south ish facing. In the recent sun, it can easily reach 35, and I pull the blinds down. It's never that temp in winter when I have the heating on - it's about 20, unless the oven's on. I've not had the heating on at night for two weeks, because it isn't needed, but the temps on the windowsills are less than half that overnight. The heating is only on for a short while in the morning, which is enough to warm things up to my liking.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
