Which Rudbeckia was Monty Don referring to yesterday 25th on Gardeners world?

    That Facebook page is insanely busy (well it was last time I looked - I had to stop following because it was so busy!). I might just send an email.

    Edited to add: However, I notice that they have apologised for an error in the Camellia feature from the week before, so I think it's worth saying something.

  • The video showing the clump that Monty dug up was Laciniata, the leaves are exactly like ours, although they're an absoluet magnet for slugs all year round, they would decimate the plant without some form of control. I put a wide copper band around it, and a slug was crawling up the outside of it!
    We had a clump for a few years and it was left until late spring when growth had started.
    I took a carpenters saw and sliced it up like a cake. Amazingly, when the pieces were potted up, there was zero wilting of the leaves and it just carried on growing.
