I couldn’t find any verbascum locally so have gone for -
    Aster
Perovskia (not sure if will like the soil but will like the heat)
    Sedum Matrona
    Rudbekia Prairie Glow

Decided I’m going to have to start planting drought tolerant plants moving forward

Perovskia should like the well-drained conditions.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

I have no sign of a salvia which was established, but I did move it last year in autumn.
I put a new Veronica and Eupatorium in last year (autumn), they seemed to take ok. No sign this year, will give till end of May and see.
Also an achellia isn't looking too well, but there is a minimal sign of growth.

I gave up on the Achellia as mine didn’t make a come back. Hear they can be temperamental

I have 2, different varieties, the other is coming back very well!

Forgot, an alstroemeria not showing too. Wasn't my favourite colour one, so let's hope it doesn't come back  :D

I have dahlias coming up, but not the Eupatorium, is it brown bread?
