Plant identification please

Can anyone identify this plant please? I bought it at a NT property last winter and have lost the label. It has been growing new leaves for a few weeks now and I think it should have the old flowers removed now. Can anyone help please? Stephanie

    @stephaniechristmas10L2hytGW I am puzzled  can you give any more information,  do you know if it flowers?
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    There are some similarities to buddleja. 
    Could we see a closer pic of the leaves please?

    I have looked very hard but cannot see the flowers from 2021 that you are referring to.
    Close up pic might help.
