Erigeron karvinskianus in a pot?

fizzylizfizzyliz Posts: 398
Can Erigeron karvinskianus be planted in a pot on a wall? I have a few too many now and wondered if this would be suitable? Pot is 15cm diameter at top. Thanks!

Worth a go. It seeds all over here, including into pots.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

@fizzyliz Yes you can I would add plenty of grit to the mix.

They need a lot of watering in a pot.

I could look at BenCotto's photos of clay and brick all day. So beautiful.

After years of growing the stuff I found my first self seeder in paving yesterday and am unreasonably delighted. I suspect the slugs missed a bit.

I grew them in a pot on a warm patio. The following year I had hundreds of them in the block paving. Looked so lovely they have been there ever since .You can walk on them and they don't seem to mind, I love to see them seeding on steps Some years ago after a cold winter they all but disappeared and not just in my garden. I found one tiny plant and have kept them ever since Beautiful!

I grew them in pots for years before I had a garden. They seemed to be ok with not being watered much once they were established.
