Fuji ornamental Cherry Tree

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone could help shed light on a problem I have with my ornamental cherry tree.
I've had it for approximately 3 years now.
When I bought it, it was flowering nicely .
The last two years , it does flower, but not very well, maybe only a few flowers.
The first year I pruned it, but then I thought I made a mistake with my pruning, so, last year I left it alone, but it still doesn't flower all over.
Any ideas?
