    Interestingly enough neither of us find the wool I use itchy, and OH has very sensitive skin that reacts to all sorts of things. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    I know Pansyface,   
    As I said in the OP,  it was a bit tongue in cheek,  doesn’t matter what we use it’s all a drain in some way. Whether it be use of water,  power,  deforestation, 
    there will always be something that’s bad. 
    Just the fact that we’re here at all is bad for the planet.
