I'm in need of some advice on my tricolour calethea. I've followed all advice including pebble tray, indirect light, kept in the bathroom so it gets humidity but it still looks sad

These are never easy plants. They're chemical sensitive so only water and mist with rainwater, and be careful about the fertiliser that you use. Keep a spray bottle next to the toilet and give the plant a light mist whenever you're in there.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

If it's any consolation yours looks much better than mine. I got fed up of it throwing strops and dying back so now I just leave it on the living room windowsill between other plants. Every time I think about chucking it out it puts out some new leaves.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
