Our "lawn" is a wildflower one. We allow the plants to grow and attract the pollinators. We have self heal, daisy, bugle, primrose, violet, hawkbit etc.... not to others great idea but good for us.
We don't think of them being weeds they are there for the insects who then help to pollinate our fruit trees and veg plants.
I like fox and cubs. Here it's not a nuisance, perhaps because the ground is moisture retentive. It doesn't appear in borders etc only in the wildflower area. Up to now that is ....
