Small garden pond

Last year I planted a small water Lilly in my pond and it was growing very well but recently the leaves have turned brown and blotchy. Is the plant diseased or should it recover?

    pretty normal for March.

    Any remaining old foliage will look like that just now. You'll get new foliage as the plants get into growth properly.
    The old stuff can then be removed to prevent too much sludge in the bottom of the pond. That's always more of a problem in a small pond. In bigger ones it doesn't matter so much  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
