Shrub identification

mchuamchua Posts: 210
Hey folks, could you help me identify these shrubs please?  It’s just so I know how to look after them with pruning regimes etc.

I took a close up of the flower and foliage because I thought it would be easier to identify that way. But I can always take a distance shot if needed.

The pink ones are both the same I think.

Thank you

The pink flowered plants look like Chaenomeles (flowering quince)

The white flowered plant could be a plum of some sort

Thank you. The white one is a mystery still. I think mum did tell me, I forgot.  :'(.

No worries. I think the principle is the same for early flowering shrubs?  Prune after flowering?

Are there any thorns on the white one?
It does look like it could be a plum, apple,  or similar.
Definitely Chaenomeles [Quince ] for the other one.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

No thorns. I think you are right, its a plum. But grown as a shrub?
