Frogspawn in a bucket
Hi, will frogspawn survive in a bucket? We’ve got some in the pond for the first time and want to save some from the hungry fish! I plan to return the froglets once they are big enough

It might sound bad but they are probably better in the pond with the fish and if you increase the amount of cover they have you would likely see more little frog let's make it. If you go for the bucket then add some plant material before they hatch to kick start the ecosystem and only keep a small amount of tadpoles in there unless it's massive. It is possible to raise them this way but it takes more effort than letting nature take its course.
The fish didn't really eat them when I had them either [koi and golden orfe] but it was a very big pond. Even the sticklebacks that appeared in other ponds I've had [from plants] didn't eat them.
