Loquat - crispy leaves

Hi all,
I planted a Loquat in Sept 2019 and it's done well despite my very un-green fingers. It's about 3m tall now, if you check my first post you can see it when it was much smaller.

Although it's growing and looking generally healthy, lots of the leaves are either yellow, brown, almost black, and crispy. This has mostly happened in the last few weeks.

I'm not unduly worried but what I do is lightly tap all dodgy looking leaves. The worst, driest ones just fall off. Is this the right thing to do?

thanks

Mine is the same, it's just frost damage and will come good when it starts growing. You can remove the leaves to tidy things up but you don't need to.
