bags of leaves and twigs

I have lots of these and osteoarthritis in my thumbs - I don't want to sit with some secateurs cutting the twigs - I would like to use them in my hotbin - any ideas of how to cut them up quickly ? I have heard of using a rotator ( which I have) but think it will churn up the lawn too.....

Just an alternate idea ...
If you were thinking of making any new beds, you could use them in a hugelkultur.

I'm thinking of doing this myself.
