Rhodendron - leggy, yellow leaves
in Plants
I have 2 rhodendron germania and neither are looking particularly great. They have been in the ground 3 years and last year fewer flowers and any buds/flowers were sticky. They have become bare at the bottom with yellowish leaves. How can I encourage some low growth and make them less sickly looking?

More likely though is a deficiency.
Sequestered iron with magnesium and manganese should cover whatever is missing.
Usually you only need apply it once
I use this, but anything with the above ingredients should do it.

PS - I should say that if you soil is alkaline, that may be the reason and there's not much you can do in that case other than pot them up
