Brown spots of grape vines?

Hey I am growing grape vines but they keep getting brown spots - I don't want to spray with the copper as I have two small pets and an even smaller balcony so nervous about the particles. Any advice for natural methods? Thanks

Hi Jasmine and welcome to the forum 😊
If you only have a small balcony where are you growing the vines?
    which varieties do you have?

    Hello Jasmine
Could be odium - damp.  Where are you as my grapevines down here in South of France have hardly got buds on yet?
For odium, I dust sulphur powder onto the leaves - handful of sulphur powder and it's just a flick of the wrist.
    Good luck!

Could the brown spots be scale insects Jasmine?

  • No sign of insects I think the odium damp might be the culprit. I am growing them indoors in the Netherlands. I shall try the sulphur trick thank you!

  • I have two in pots, they were a gift from a friend who was moving so unsure of the variety, they are still very young and have not fruited yet :)
