Trailing geranium

I have a manger which i filled with trailing geranium. It us on a north  west facing wall,but i didn't get around to removing the plants  for  winter.Leaves look healthy anx green. Should i cut the plants back on not if i leave them will they still flower this year.advucs would be appreciated.

    @Dorcascents Assume you mean pelargoniums and not hardy geraniums? If you live in the south of the country pelagoniums are now surviving the winter and will flower again. Sometimes in year 2 they can become leggy and not flower so well. I am sure other forum members can advise on their own experiences. 
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
