If they're species tulips [and it's quite likely at this time of year] they're hardy and can be left in the ground. If they're the bigger, blousy types, they tend not to do well year on year, so you may want to do that, but you'd wait until the foliage has died down, and you'd need to be sure you can store them well enough.
