Rubber plant

Help!  I'm not sure what to do with my rubber plant.  I am pretty sure what happened was that it managed to dry out too much the end of last summer - and then I over watered it and it got waterlogged.  I've been careful with the watering over the winter, and it still has healthy leaves at the top.  I'm not sure what to do with it now - is there a way to rescue it?  Can I plant it deeper / reduce it in size in some way? Thanks
