Is the Compost in a Grow-Bag different to Multi-Purpose?

I'm only asking really because I'll be growing my toms in containers and in previous years I've bought grow-bags for the compost.
Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border. 

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

    Pretty much the same as far as I'm aware. They both have added food.
    In the past, people often bought grow bags once they were reduced in price, because it was then a better deal than bags of compost.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Grow bags in a blown way, and MPC in tubs both in a greenhouse and outside, and didn't see any difference.  The only reason I had was cost. I only had a small garden before,  so a couple of grow bags was all I needed. Now I use more it's cheeper to get MPC in multi deals.

    Grow bags often include extra feed like tomorite and seaweed for tomatoes.  You could use the grow bag compost in your containers, you'll get better root depth and drainage - it all depends on the price difference!

    I find grow bag compost is coarser and has more sticks in it. Saying that I use it for pots and potting on as it's much cheaper, I don't have any problems using it.
