Hellebores

How long do you wait until you dead head your Hellebores please? I keep mine going even when they have been pollinated and the colour fades. Not sure if this is the best thing to do, will it affect next years flowers?
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

I don't dead head them at all unless they are growing over a path or where I don't want new ones to come up.

I only deadhead if they look manky, but that's mainly the nigers, because they go a horrible, dirty pale pink. quite nice to leave some to seed if you like, but a lot of them cross and end up a murky colour too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I've only just planted today the ones that I bought the other week. I cut the manky ones off and left the rest. I also trimmed most of the leaves off too.
