Has anyone else had a letter about price increases? I haven’t.

Nor me. As I said in my previous post, they offered me a reduction.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I had a subscription for Daily Telegraph, was told the cost was increasing on Ist January so cancelled my direct debit.  Almost immediately got a phone call from them by a nasty woman demanding to know why, she got an earful from me and hung up on me!
As I came home from work tonight as I walked through the front door my wife handed me the telephone saying it's the Telegraph, you could not make it up.
It was a male seeing if I would like to renew my subscription, I explained about my experience with the previous female, he said he was sorry and said goodbye!

If the papers were bought from the shop they would cost £20 weekly, my energy costs over the last two winter months were £27 per week!
The heating goes on at 7.30 and is on until 9.30 in the evening!

Hello again, I did say I would update you when I have news about my subscription after complaining to GW about the price increase letter I had receive. So i cancelled subscription but with remaining paid issues still to be sent out to me. And so now the next 6 issues reverts back to same price I had / and as per current offer they have. Thank you all for your support, I'm most grateful. Enjoy the lovely weather and your gardens.

    That's great @MariaJ. I'm glad you got a good result  :)
It's annoying that you had to make a complaint, and I wonder how many others didn't, and are therefore stuck with the increase.
Same old story unfortunately - squeaky wheel gets the grease, and that isn't right.  :|
