Summer bulbs

Hi there… I recently bought some vases which looked lovely with paperwhites in. Do I have to put the vases away now, or are there any summer bulbs of similar size that would be happy growing this way…?

    Amaryllis/Hippeastrum ?  Usually Spring flowering but I think some cultivars flower later.  Others will have more advice and suggestions I'm sure :)
