I very rarely order plants online, but could not find the Astrantia major I wanted anywhere in nearby GCs or nurseries, so, last June I ordered from Promesse de fleurs, a well-known French supplier. I paid an extra 1.50€ for an ecological "zero-plastics" packaging. The usual plastic chips were replaced by shredded cardboard, and the 3 specimens of Astrantia were in perfect condition (in a packaging originally suitable for 6 specimens, I think).

Having to pay extra for eco packaging is a bit of a cheek though @Papi Jo!

I had such bad experiences with PdeF last year. More than half my order, supposedly in stock, wasn’t and they never refunded me the €48 difference despite many stern emails. Then the packing list did not match what they sent (more plants missing). Of the Heleniums that did come, one died and the other two turned out not to be the ordered variety. I wrote the money off on the end. They recently gave me a free postage offer, combined with 20% off some plants I wanted, which tempted me back against my better judgement. Except the code didn’t work and they blamed me either not having logged into my account first (incorrect) or my credit card details being faulty (also incorrect, since I never got that far due to the non-functioning code). Never again!
