Where can I buy?

I am in the process of putting together a living wall to cover 2 fence panels that I look onto from my conservatory. My problem is I need a large quantity of ferns/plants and have been advised that plug plants are most suited. Where can I buy a large quantity of Fern Plugs and suitable Plant Plugs

You can get 9cm pot ferns from a lot of online plant retailers.

I got some recently from J Parkers* (3 for a tenner).

    *other retailers available :D

I've never looked into making a living wall so not sure if you can't put bigger plants into it but 9cm pots would seem do-able.  Not sure you can get ferns any smaller.

Also try your local supermarkets, I have bought small outdoor ferns from them over the years, some only cost £1, usually in 9cm pots.
    Also Poundland, Lidl, Aldi etc.
    Always worth a look!

If you could have done it in late summer/early autumn, you could have got single plants of a good size which could have been divided. Many places have sales at that time of year too  :)
Many ferns just self seed here, and I often pot up some to poke into corners on fences etc. Is there anyone nearby who would give you some seedlings?

You could try Ballyrobert over in Ireland. They do good plants in small sizes, mail order. There should be quite a lot of outlets doing small plants at this time of year. Someone may be able to give you names. I'll have a look later too.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Wilko also do ferns quite cheaply.  I often get them in there for 50p when they've been reduced; I think they're a couple of quid normally.  They're always desperate for a drink but in fine condition.

You could try contacting these folk https://www.fibrex.co.uk/ and see if they can help with a bulk order of small plants ... they have a very good reputation.
