Dickinson Antarctica - Trunk Mould or Moss?

Hello,
My dickinson antarctica has some form of what I believe to be mould or moss growing up the trunk. It's been there for a few years and the plant seems healthy but I wondered if I am correct? It seems to be spreading and climbing further each year.

    Certainly some moss. All that shows is it is damp, which it is supposed to be.  The tree ferns in Trebah have lots of moss on, it doesn't harm them. Better damp than too dry.  If you look at the Trebah website, it shows the ferns with moss growing on.

    @danbc1972RPehXIjL Our tree ferns have the same flora growing on the trunks. Nothing to worry about. As @fidgetbones says it shows that it is damp which it what they need.

    Many thanks to you both as I've had the tree for over a decade and is about 12 ft tall and I was concerned but now my mind is at rest. Thanks again :)
