Fast growing plants for screening neighboroughing property

Looking for fast growing hardy plants/trees/climbers that can survive a fairly exposed elevated garden in Scotland. Looking to screen off a property which now overlooks as result of their new extension.

We'd need more info. Aspect, size of the space, what else is there, general location etc- ie east or west, and roughly how far north/south. Weather/climate in Scotland varies enormously   :)

Bear in mind that anything fast growing, doesn't just stop at a convenient size.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

... and a little info about soil type (clay, sand, acid, alkaline, dry, very wet etc).
A photo showing the problem would be very helpful so we can see exactly what you want to screen and how it impacts your property etc
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

As @Fairygirl says plants that grow fast are good at first but then you can spend years trying to keep them under control. This won't be a quick fix if you want a good result.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
