Can anyone confirm what this shrub is? Both the variegated and non-variegated leaves are on the same shrub, which is two to three feet tall and the same spread. There are pink berries/flowers (not sure which) on it as you can see in the photo.

    It's a Euonymus Japonicus shrub. Might have been a variegated version originally that's reverted back.

    When a plant reverts it is best to remove the plain green leaves. Variegated plants take in less sun light than plain green ones. So plain green leaves grow stronger. Not sure if things have gone too far with your Euonymous.

    I've got a few and they all do that - sometimes as much as 1/2 the bush.
    I cut it all back to the main stem or to where the plain green leaves end.
    It looks a bit lopsided for a while but soon grows back

    @Pete.8 Yes Euonymous seems to be one shrub that often has this problem.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
