Well, in spite of the extremely cold and snowy weather we had last month my three mature EP's are soldiering on, albeit looking very dishevelled.

What I find quite remarkable is the one that is most exposed was frozen solid like a lollipop yet its looking to be the best of the bunch...Its even spreading its crown again in this mild weather!

No survivors amongst the seedlings unfortunately.

Can they survive the winter??? Watch this space.

My Echium, self seeded from original, has managed to survive the winter and the gale force winds with no protection whatsoever.  All being well I should have the flowers before long and all the bees to follow. About 9/10 ft tall now and seems to be inches higher every morning.

    How is yours progressing @McRazz?
  • It looks like we lost all of ours to the cold this winter, which is a shame.

Same here … dead as dodos. 😞
