Nothing much is any different here, despite the non existent winter The V. bonariensis that I grew on last year are still alive, so that's probably the only thing. The new bronze fennels I grew from seed have stayed alive too. One of the oak leaf hydrangeas still has some foliage on it, and it's alive [well it's green or brown] rather than just a bit of dead stuff that's managed to hang on.
Everything else is just growing as it would normally.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Not growing as such but most of my osteospermum are looking healthy . I think the yellow and orange cosmos might be alive and calibrachoa (sp?) Dryopteris hasn't died back much. I wonder what will happen when the weather warns up. Will it bother producing new fronds? - we'll see. Veronica is a few inches above ground now.
No daffodils out yet but there are plenty snowdrops and the camellia is beginning to flower. @TheGreenMan My agapanthus was beautiful last year but will take a bit of time to catch up with yours. A few tulips poking through.
Flowering now...fabulous daffs, tete a tete, narcissus, winter honey suckle, hellebores, anemone blandas (in profusion), crocus, magnolia, primroses (make a great wine), violets, lungwort, clematis armadii (fabulous plant), clematis cirrhosa, bergenia, fritillary, forget me nots, daisy, bugle, dandelions, vincas ...all in flower now with new buds on other plants.
Hope we don't get more frosts though as some may get checked back.
A good thread I’m enjoying it, when I’ve daylight I’ll hopefully contribute. Can I suggest folk give a rough idea of where they live if it’s not shown after there user name.
I've just noticed that cow parsley round here doesn't seem to have disappeared over winter. Just shows how mild it's been. Nothing noticeable on any Acers yet - just the faintest hint of new life The alpina clematis are doing well, especially Constance, but not any earlier than usual.
