Garden treasure

  • Thank you. My guess is correct then.
Now my imagination can run riot wondering where it came from, how it found its way into my garden, how long has it been there, what sort of pot it came from, etc. etc.
Cornwall is not known for much in the way of medieval finds but the many fishing ports did trade with overseas countries and I am not far from Charlestown which was an important trading port..

Very interesting bottle. I found this labeled one online which explains why it has a rounded base.

Thanks for posting this @wild edges
I hadn't thought to look online, but then back when I dug it up I had never even touched a pc!

Forgot when mentioning the boring nature of the finds from this garden that I'd dug up Mr Catseye.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Mr Catseye looks like he should have his own Pixar film. It reminds me of this thing I dug up years ago.
I left it on the shelf in the greenhouse and it took on a life of its own...

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
