Basket Plant - Is It Gone?

Good afternoon all,

I've recently returned from being in hospital for the past week and a half to find my basket plant is looking rather sad (I think due to the severe lack of watering). There is some green left, but it looks rather sad. Is there any hope of salvaging this, or is it better to throw it into the compost and start anew?

When plants do that to me I chop them right back, leave them in an out of the way place for a while and if I see green shoots I nurture them and bring them back.  I have one thriving after that treatment, another with shoots that are a bit too tentative and that might go.  But I have used each as an excuse to treat myself to new plants!

Just a week and a half with no watering wouldn't, I think, result in the look of your plant. Could it be more to do with heating being off, cold draught?
Give it a go as @didyw suggests. Always worth trying to get a plant back.
