  • No, I’ll leave them - I developed enough back-ache putting them in! Thanks for your replies - John

    B*mmer though.  :/

I know what you mean - the thought of it is enough to make you want to lie down in a darkened room ... ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • @johnraymondshaw. I grow A nemerosa it is white which looks lovely in shade .I also have  A nemerosa Robinsoniana. I did start with just one pot full of each, which I purchased in flower in the spring. You can also buy them dry and ready to plant in the autumn. They can get into the roots of other plants but I forgive then as they flower for such a short time before they are again dormant.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
  • Suze - I shall take your advice - very kind of you to help. John
  • @johnraymondshaw our blandas are in full bloom and each year doing better.
We are in heavy clay soil but we have them in a raised gravel bed near one of our ponds.
They are such a delight this time of the year.
  • I’m so envious, but I’ll take your advise and try then in a raised bed - many thanks for replying. John
