Little white grubs inside begonia tubers

Hi
i have been starting off my begonia tubers from last year and I found one that had gone like sawdust inside and there were two little white grubs inside, I checked a couple of others and they were the same. What are they and how can I check if the other tubers are infected without cutting them apart.

    They could be vine weevil larvae. I don't know if they like begonias but they can certainly destroy things at a rate of knots. There is a photo of them here. https://www.rhs.org.uk/biodiversity/vine-weevil

    They’ll be vine weevil grubs, they love begonias,  if they haven’t made to many burrows you can pick them out with a skewer of some sort and plant the up.

    Leave the grubs on a saucer for the birds. They adore them.

    I suffer from vine weevil in pots of primulas every year. I’ve rescued eaten away plants by putting them underwater in a bowl for 48 hours, I believe that drowns the grubs but doesn’t damage the plants. Worth a go with your tubers.
