My Apple Tree Has Got a Disease Can it Be Saved
Hi Fellow Gardeners
My apple tree has real problems - someone said it was a 'canker'. I will try to post some pictures and if you look at the whole tree it affects the bottom of the trunk and the thick branch jutting out on the right. I would like to cut off this badly affected branch but then the whole tree would look lopsided. Is there any treatment for this and hope for survival or will I just have to have the tree cut down? This would be such a shame because it still produces some lovely apples.
What would you do? Can anyone help?
Sorry - photos were right way up before I inserted on here - hope you can still see enough!!
