Hello everyone, does anyone know what tree this is? The photo was taken last week. I wondered elder but the leaf is all wrong I think. The bark is grey with dark brown marks all over.

Agree with pansyface. Sambucus...common name Elder.
Leaflets and bark spot on.
Have added close up pics to show the mature leaflets.

Have turned your pics ..see below.

Agree it's an elder. The leaves emerge earlier than most shrubs/trees.

Not sure how big you want this to get but it can be pruned if necessary.

I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
