Cyclamen Persicum seedlings

Do I leave them to mature a bit  or pot them on today into very small pots I have quite a lot of along with gritty/MPC and a dose of our home-made compost. There's lots and in another hanging basket there are more. The mother corm has been in my hanging baskets for at least 10years and performs ok but not so floriferous these days,

    They're quite congested aren't they?
You could probably divide them into clumps, and pot those up, rather than trying to prick them out individually.
The parent plant will benefit from less congestion too.
It's the main difficulty when they're in a more confined space - ie a container.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

The corms need to be about 1cm in diameter for them to survive being potted on. As suggested at this stage it would be better to repot in clumps without disturbing the tiny roots on the bottom of the baby corms.
  • So job for tomorrow I'll scoop them out as clumps as you say Fairygirl , maybe 2 together put them into say 9cm pots. Wait then for them to turn into corms then as you say  Palustris . New to me  Cyclamen seedlings never had any self-seed before only Hellebores got loads of those to tackle next week. Started  clearing my front garden yesterday , nice clear day ended up with 1 old MPC bag full of stuff ! Thanks for your advice Happy Gardening .

My cyclamen seed around but mainly into the gravel, and are well dispersed by the wind,  so they aren't heavily congested.
I have a few clumps in pots, but they're sitting on the gravel mostly, so again - the seed doesn't tend to land in the pots themselves.  :)
