I think Sarcococca too. Is is scented?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Another one for Sarcococca.  Flowering now in shady position in SW UK.  The scent is usually obvious but given the winds recently, it's easily missed.
  • Even with the winds we have 3 different ones around our garden and they still gave us a fabulous scent.
A great plant to have in any garden.
  • Yes Sarcococca confusa is the one with white flowers.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
  • Thank you once again, you are right, Sarcococca, Christmas Box, and yes it does 'smell, thank you I have another one, but will start a new topic, thanks again

To my knowledge all sp of Sarcococca have  scented tiny white spidery flowers...pics below
    I find id really hard.
    It gets rather nerdy.
In autumn it helps as some have red berries others black.

Confusa has black berries and is so called as sometimes it has 2 stigma /sometimes 3 on the same plant.

  • Think my one might be the Hookeriana
  • @Silver surfer You are right I did think S Digyna had a hint of pink but it's the stamens.
My apologises for confusa ing the issue.
