'The midge' is our secret weapon to stop too many folk coming here and cluttering up the place @muckyhandsmike ;)
May and September are the best times to visit - but don't tell everyone....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I grew cosmos from seed too early last year @hollyrosecarolan and I have to say I won't do it again! No problems with them growing  - except that's exactly what they did, a lot! A cold spring came and they couldn't go outside and I ended up with these 1.5 feet tall plants all over my windowsills! No greenhouse. They were great once I finally got them out so I will grow them again.

..... I'm only about 90% sure they are sweet peas.....

    I was 90% WRONG! :#

By the power of deduction I've discovered the seeds that are sprouting are Larkspur.
Trying to be the person my dog thinks I am!

    Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border.
  • @Crazybeelady Oh no! I don't have a greenhouse either, so I'm also bundling things on windowsills and desks near windows too. I'll see how they get on, just for the sake of experiment. But I'll start afresh in March to get a better end result
