I bought a rhubarb crown last autumn but didn’t get round to planting it in the garden until last month. I’ve put it in a flower bed where it will have plenty of room. Traditionally, they just get heaped up with manure when available, and then pulled up to JUne. First year do not cut any sticks. Forced rhubarb usually then needs another year to recover. You can cut unforced rhubarb every year.
