Rose feeding

Hi all, I am hoping to get some time specific advice around rose feeding.
Things have been very mild in Surrey and after finishing my annual prune, so many of my roses are showing new growth that is now about 2 inches long. Should feeding start earlier under such circumstances or should I be waiting? Will feeding to early cause damage of any sort

Many thanks in advance

I usually feed mine early March, so you should be ok.
Feeding them too early can cause the tender new shoots to start growing which may then get nipped by frost

David Austin Roses advises first feed late March/early April, but if the growth is advanced due to a mild winter, a month early should be fine, provided no frost is expected: How to Feed a Rose - Advice & Inspiration (davidaustinroses.co.uk)
