We had rain forecast for this weekend but there was none at all yesterday and only 5 minutes drizzle so far today. And my biopsy wound is itching and making me grumpy.
We changed our plans today because of the predicted heavy rain after 3pm which the Met Office showed on the Sunday morning forecast. Now the Sunday afternoon forecast is saying there won't be any rain until late tonight. If you ever have to bet your life on a game of rock paper scissors then pick a weather forecaster to be your opponent.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

We took the kids to the dinosaur/farm park on Friday. Here's a couple of my highlights:

There's some  of those in Crystal Palace Park. The last time I looked, the paint was peeling and bits were dropping off. It's a few years ago so maybe someone has  given them a lick of paint. They must be antiques by now.
I always meant to take my daughter to Digger World ( I think it was called but you get the idea) but never got around to it. She's in her 30s now. I bet she'd still  enjoy it with a few drinks under her belt.
Edit: Google tells me it still exists and it's Diggerland

Well Boris got a lot out of Peppa Pig World so I imagine drunken Diggerland would be a jolly good laugh. Just don't mix it up with Doggerland.

Especially as I can't swim! Doggerland fascinates me. I'd much rather go there.

Not far from us is a location well known as being frequented by those who might enjoy Doggerland or Doggingland.  Its actual name is Shabs Hill but you can possibly guess that the grafitti artists have modified it to.

Tidying front garden. Council bin full and three large garden rubbish containers waiting. The weather has afforded plenty of planting opportunities😒
I've no idea what to replace them with. I don't really like phormiums  or that kind of stiff strappy plant. Will have to do some investigations. Things related to the survivors, I suppose is the best route.

Me too. I've got some great fossils that have been recovered from Doggerland. Part of an antler and a vertebra from a woolly rhino. Fishermen have a good sideline in selling artifacts that come up with the trawler nets.

I found five dead fish in my pond this morning. I've tried so hard to keep it oxygenated this summer.  :'(

Sorry to hear that @floralies.  If you've had thunderstorms, that's a possible cause as the very humid air reduces oxygen levels getting to the pond.
